EU Commissioner Viviane Reding signs MOU for Europe Center
The Straits Room, Fullerton Hotel

Durring her official visit to Singapore, the EU Commissioner for Information Society & Media, Mrs Viviane Reding signed an agreement with NUS and NTU to set up the first EU Centre in Singapore. The EU will contribute up to €1.2 million towards the Centre which will be operated by NUS and NTU jointly. NUS Deputy President and Provost, Professor Tan Eng Chye and NTU Provost, Professor Bertil Anderson signed on behalf of their respective universities. The event was held in conjunction with a Foreign Correspondents Association Lunch, at which Commissioner Reding was the guest speaker.
